In February 2025, Dr. Tulio Bertorini, President of the Peruvian American Medical Society (PAMS), signed an important Framework Collaboration Agreement with the National University of Cajamarca, through its School of Human Medicine and Health Sciences.

The main objective of this agreement is to improve the health conditions of the most vulnerable populations in the Cajamarca region, while also seeking to strengthen the education and training of health professionals.

The partnership between PAMS and the National University of Cajamarca was consolidated with the successful co-organization of the webinar "Magnitude of Tuberculosis in the City of Cajamarca. Management of Latent Tuberculosis," held on November 16, 2024, in collaboration with the Peruvian Association of Medical Schools (ASPEFAM).

Additionally, in response to a request from the Faculty of Human Medicine, the webinar "Dengue: Health Crisis" was held on April 9, 2025, to address one of the region's greatest public health challenges.

With this agreement, PAMS reaffirms its commitment to working alongside local institutions to promote activities that benefit the most needy communities and strengthen medical education in Cajamarca. This collaboration is expected to continue to grow in the future, with new projects and initiatives that generate a positive impact in the region.

En febrero de 2025, el Dr. Tulio Bertorini, Presidente de la Peruvian American Medical Society (PAMS), firmó un importante Convenio Marco de Colaboración con la Universidad Nacional de Cajamarca, a través de su Facultad de Medicina Humana y Ciencias de la Salud.

Este acuerdo tiene como objetivo principal mejorar las condiciones de salud de las poblaciones más vulnerables de la región Cajamarca, al mismo tiempo que busca reforzar la formación y capacitación de los profesionales de la salud.

La alianza entre PAMS y la Universidad Nacional de Cajamarca se consolidó con la exitosa coorganización del webinar “Magnitud de la Tuberculosis en la Ciudad de Cajamarca. Manejo de la Tuberculosis Latente”, llevado a cabo el 16 de noviembre de 2024 en colaboración con la Asociación Peruana de Facultades de Medicina (ASPEFAM).

Además, en respuesta a una solicitud de la Facultad de Medicina Humana, se realizó el webinar “Dengue: Crisis Sanitaria”, el pasado 9 de abril de 2025, para abordar uno de los mayores retos de salud pública de la región.

Con este convenio, PAMS reafirma su compromiso de trabajar junto a instituciones locales para impulsar actividades que beneficien a las comunidades más necesitadas y fortalezcan la educación médica en Cajamarca. Se espera que esta colaboración continúe creciendo en el futuro, con nuevos proyectos e iniciativas que generen impacto positivo en la región.
